Please join Husch Blackwell and the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Alliance for the final webinar in a series focused on the Texas renewable industry. This installment will focus on the Department of Energy (DOE) study on electricity markets and reliability and the subsequent DOE notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) requesting the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to develop pricing mechanisms to pay for baseload power generation.

Alison Silverstein, the primary author of the technical portions of the DOE study, will moderate a discussion to review the timeline of events and issues raised by Energy Secretary Rick Perry, explore the NOPR and FERC’s response, and discuss potential implications for power markets under FERC and in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
