Texas Energy Independence Week 2013

During the last several legislative sessions, the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) has focused attention on the role of renewable energy in helping Texas become more energy independent. We declare a week near the March 2 date of Texas’ independence from Mexico as Texas Energy Independence Week 2013 (TEIW).  This year dozens of TREIA members, renewable enthusiasts, and legislators and/or their staff participated in this year's Texas Energy Independence Week activities, which took place March 4 - 6.

Texas Renewables 2012 Conference

Over 250 people came to the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort to take part in our annual conference, including a Green Design and Solar 101 Workshop, a tour of the Webberville 30 MB Photovoltaic Solar plant, two receptions and two luncheons.

Business Builder Luncheon with Citigroup's Michael Eckhart

On Wednesday, November 28, 2012 nearly 50 people gathered to hear Citigroup's Michael Eckhart give his view of "Global Perspectives on Renewable Energy" at the George Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.  Michael went with an unusual approach, having each member of the audience introduce themselves and then pose the question that they most wanted answered during the session.  Michael answer most as he went and wrote down some others to cover at the end of the Q&A.

TREIA Policy Luncheon/Meeting
September 10, 2009 - Austin, Texas
