Government Relations Skills Workshop
January 9, 2009
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Policy Action '09
Community & grassroots tools for 2009 interaction with the Texas Legislature & U.S. Congress
New economic and political realities make it more important than ever that local community leaders, economic development teams, ranchers, farmers, business leaders, and rural Texans have the necessary skills to communicate effectively with our elected legislators and their staffs.
This one-day seminar is packed with generic skills that will substantially upgrade your understanding of the legislative process and enhance your efficiency and effectiveness in working with your legislators and other pivotal legislative leaders.
This event is not wind-specific and is not an issue "lobbying" workshop, but rather will teach you skills that you can use for your community, your business & civic associations, and other rural Texas causes to make the most of your efforts in Austin & Washington.
