COMMITTEE  DESCRIPTIONS

Education and Events

The Education and Events Committee provides a platform for TREIA members and other energy industry stakeholders to network, learn and share important industry trends in technology, markets, and policy that impact renewable energy growth in Texas.

Communications

The Communications Committee works to communicate the benefits of TREIA membership and renewable energy technology, information and events to members, potential members, and the public.

Membership & Sponsors

The Membership and Sponsors Committee reaches out to - and forms partnerships with - project developers, end-users, utilities, manufacturers, service providers, municipalities, academia, corporations, financial institutions, policymakers, and thought-leaders working to create energy independence through clean, renewable energy.

Policy & Data

The Policy and Data Committee is comprised of members who monitor and report on legislative and regulatory policy trends on the local, state and federal level - providing TREIA members and the public with invaluable analyses, reports, and presentations.

GridNEXT 2019 Conference

This Committee is comprised of industry professionals and thought-leaders who help shape the conversation for TREIA’s pre-eminent power industry conference, GridNEXT, focused specifically on how renewable energy technologies are transforming the Grid of the Future!

e-Mobility Working Committee

As electrification of the transportation sector gains traction, numerous challenges and opportunities arise. Just as TREIA was there to help shape policy and market dynamics during the inception of the wind and solar energy markets in Texas, here too there is a great need for thoughtful leadership. Facing a projected market saturation of 30% of the transportation fleet by 2030, it is imperative that the impacts on the energy distribution network and the addition of an enormous amount of charging infrastructure be implemented with forethought and care.

With a focus on how to best prepare and integrate this evolution of the transportation sector, TREIA is building a team of Public and Private sector leaders to explore and guide the development of infrastructure and policy for E-Mobility. To that end we have formed the e-Mobility Working Committee to build consensus among all the stakeholders that will be impacted to ensure that the market is developed in a pragmatic way that fosters the economic opportunity it represents for the State of Texas.

Mexico-Texas Renewable Energy Working Committee

As both Texas and Mexico install greater capacity of renewable energy and expand their transmission grids, increased opportunities arise for further integration of the two grids and expanded international business investments. Numerous Mexican firms are expanding into the U.S. market and Texas is the typical first stop. Additionally, there is a growing need to address regulatory and market aspects of the new opportunities.

This working committee will incorporate members seeking to understand better where opportunities lie and the increasingly complex regulatory aspects of international transactions.
