Here we are again, heading into GridNEXT 2019 Dallas on November 12, where we will celebrate the accomplishments of the last year and peer into the future as we seek to achieve TREIA’s stated goal of 50% renewable energy by 2030.
Following a very successful event last June in San Antonio, we are taking the event to Dallas as part of the launching of the new TREIA North Texas Chapter.
We will kick off the main event at 8:30am in downtown Dallas, with welcoming remarks from emcee Peter Kelly-Detwiler. The theme of this year’s event will be Grid Safety and Security, where we will be looking at multiple aspects of renewables and grid security. We will address a variety of related topics, ranging from ways to protect critical assets and safeguard vital data to the role of renewables and microgrids in ensuring a more reliable and resilient grid.
We will also be looking at some of the recent legislative developments, as well as some of the upcoming challenges that may affect the renewables landscape in future years. GridNEXT 2019 promises to be yet another stimulating conversation and fruitful networking event. We look forward to having you all join in that dialogue and to seeing you all there.
GridNEXT is holding a repeat performance to celebrate TREIA’s new Dallas Chapter. This one-day event will include panels addressing:
An Introduction to utility scale and commercial scale renewable energy projects
TREIA’s e-Mobility Committee on the upcoming boom and opportunities in electric vehicle infrastructure
TREIA’s Capital & Finance Committee discussing the many ways Texas capital is beginning to invest in renewable energy
A discussion on the limitations and issues affecting Texas’ grid safety and security
A case study discussing how Dallas’ community college system is creating the campus of the 21st century incorporating sustainable and renewable energy
