What’s your background and what are your main responsibilities at TREIA?
I've worked with for-profits, non-profits, and municipalities delivering communications strategies and leadership development skills and have had the unique opportunity to serve in organizations experiencing tremendous change while serving its members/customers. My work at TREIA includes welcoming new members and retaining existing ones, while sharing the many opportunities that exist for members to get involved. Currently, my priority is ensuring our 2018 GridNEXT Conference reflects the diverse community that comprises TREIA Membership.
What drew you to working for TREIA? What excites you about the organization?
This past spring I had the opportunity to meet with Melissa Miller, President of the Board, and hear her vision for TREIA, some of the recent changes that had been implemented, and the recently adopted strategic plan. The Board has done a great job outlining a strategic plan that represents the significance renewables play in the market, as well as the impact and opportunities TREIA has in that discussion.
What are the benefits of TREIA membership?
Now is a great time to renew your membership with TREIA or, join for the first time. We are continuing to grow and the opportunities to join include strength of a unified voice; access to timely and critical information; invaluable partnership prospects; access to a strong network of industry leaders; and, support services.
What’s on tap for GridNEXT in October and why should people attend?
The team is really excited about GridNEXT 2018 and will soon reveal what's in store. It's always a very successful event and this year will be no different. We've listened to our members and created an agenda that reflects what our members want: more networking opportunities, programs that reflect diversity within the renewable energy industry, and engaging speakers.
How do people register for GridNEXT or otherwise get involved in the event?
First and foremost: Save the Date! GridNEXT is scheduled for October 21 - 23, 2018! Secondly, check your email. We will be sending notifications for registration, program agenda updates, and networking involvement on a regular basis. And finally, think about becoming a sponsor. It’s a great way to introduce and promote your business to colleagues in the field who are interested in learning about resources available.
